Well, all the news we have received from the WOMAN’S MEETING last Saturday night is encouraging and the Presence of God was very powerful. Thanks to all those who helped behind the scenes to make it possible Pastor Dion and myself want to thank you. When I saw the dinner arrive and being prepared I didn't want to leave the house...special thank-you to Della........also to the sisters who went up to Auckland and brought back the DVD's and made them available to RFC. At this point these meetings are only for regular attendee's at RFC.  It is planned later on to invite family, friends etc as it is important that our sisters receive all that God has and then we can reach out to our city etc. We will notify you of the November meeting in next week's Newsletter.

 

Again we had another exciting time at the Monday and Wednesday night meetings.  We cannot encourage you enough to make the effort to come as if we desire to be all that God wants us to be, we need teaching from the Word. Pastor Kevin taught on the necessity of having a solid and correct Christian back-ground on which Jesus is wanting to build His future destiny in our lives. The basic need is that we all have a healthy realistic SELF-IMAGE. In short, your own self-image is the way you relate with yourself and which influences everything you do in your walk. It also effects the way you relate with others and especially your church family. If you have a healthy self-image you will always be a blessing to others and relationships and friendships will never fail. There are two main Christian foundations and these are:  1] Having an understanding that God ONLY is our provider and protector while we are on the earth, and 2] We must be rooted and grounded in the truths of God's word so the HOLY SPIRIT can develop in us a STABLE CHARACTER - a character which is based on HONESTY, FAITHFULNESS and PERSEVERANCE. Let’s have a look as these three aspects God wants in our life.

 

1. HONESTY.  In our society, government and corporate world even in the market place we hear daily of dishonesty, false-hood etc and often it has been brought into the Church. When we live this way God is not able to build His       character in our lives, sadly the end result is people getting hurt and then they harm all who dare to befriend them.   Honesty with God is a must if we are going to have a strong spiritual relationship with Him. Never forget the way you   relate to God is the same as you relate to your brothers and sisters. In LUKE 18:11-13 we read the account of the prayer of the proud, self-righteous religious man. This man denied his sinfulness. His dishonesty blocked a genuine relationship with God. Open and truthful HONESTY is required for all relationships to PROSPER.

2. FAITHFULNESS.  It is sad but our world today is full of UN-FAITHFUL people. Husbands and Wives, divorce in our nation is at an all time high. Bureaucrats in Government cheat and lie. Company workers are un-faithful to employers and we see so often friends betray friends. The bible tells us that FAITHFULNESS benefits all parties in a relationship   especially [the church] and each other. God is looking for Good and Faithful SERVANTS in this hour. This is the year of FULLNESS and ABUNDANCE for all who are Faithful and True.

3. PERSEVERANCE. We not only need Honesty and Faithfulness but also perseverance. We read the basic principle in [Matthew 7: 7-8] "Ask and it shall be given unto you, Seek and you will find, Knock and the door will be open to you.."    Perseverance is required and needed to develop all relationships with God and each other. People who have developed this character of perseverance stay strong and never quit when changes and obstacles arrive in life or when our human     character has flaws and moments of weakness. So it is crucial in our relationships with other people that we all need FIRST to have a solid relationship with the One who never changes, never fails, and will never leave us.  God has to      provide us with His abilities and character in order that we can have CONSISTENCY and enjoyment in Life. When we have established our eternal relationship with God through JESUS CHRIST we grow in LOVE and total respect for each other. Until that has been established with God all attempts of friendship and relationships will be IMPOSSIBLE. Praise God for the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

 

[John 16;13 & 15]. What a great promise in that scripture.  There is nothing so enjoyable and exciting than the blessings of God on your life. The Holy Spirit blesses us in three ways: 1] By dwelling in us.  2] By dwelling with us. 3] By empowering us with His super-natural ability and Power. It is only when we have built a right relationship with God that we can BEGIN to BUILD a long term loving, supportive relationships with one another. It is then that our friendships and       relationships have the power and ability to remain strong, as without this there is no commitment possible. It is then we can be a blessing to one another.

 

A heart which is established in God's love has respect and love for all friends and brothers and sisters in Christ, it is never selfish or self-centered. The characteristics of such a believer are these; 1] PEACE - at all times they are at peace with God. People may attack your character, reputation or even your life, but they will never be able to shake the PEACE which surpasses all understanding [Phil 4:7] [Acts 24;16] [Romans 8:31].  Its then that your life will have: 2]    PURPOSE - the search and meaning of life is no longer an issue. When we are aware of God's presence and His purpose for our life all past hurts, pain, grief etc are wiped away. You no longer live to please yourself or even meet the demands of other’s but your only desire is to meet and please your Heavenly Father. [Matt.6:18]  It is then for HIS sake that we gladly suffer persecution as we submit and yield our lives to Him daily.  3] Its only then will we be able to Live and Walk in the Anointed power of God's LOVE. At last you and I become useful to God. His love radiates out of us and we are in touch with REALITY. When the Lord Jesus is first place in your life, all your actions and conversation are focused always on Jesus, not on other’s anymore.  4] Its then we can live our life in the Present [not the past or even the future]. If we trust God and His word NOW, do God's word NOW and Obey God's word NOW, you walk and live in His blessing at all times. [Phil.4:6]  [Col. 4:5]. 5] Then we can avoid emotional extremes, live a steadfast life and also a balanced one of FAITH, HOPE and LOVE - but the greatest is Love. Always Vigilant and steadfast [1.Thess 5:6]  [James 4:7]. In         closing, have we passed the test of Christian maturity if Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever [Heb13:8] and in [Mat 5;8] we read "Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God." The pure of heart see everything about life in God's light. [Titus 1:15].

 

Monday and Wednesday nights at 7.30pm, 5. Lerwick Terrace, Lyall Bay - Bible Study Meeting and on Saturday at mid-day from the same address we depart for RFC City Out-reach. Don't miss these gatherings as they are anointed and you will be greatly blessed.  Open your heart and receive all that God has for you today and the anointing on Pastor Dion's message.
