Well there is no doubt at all, we have entered the last days before the return of Jesus. He is preparing His Glorious Church for the last out-pouring of His Glory and Grace and we all must be prepared to reach the LOST of our city, nation and the world. Daily we all need to ask ourselves - ARE WE BEING ALL THAT WE CAN BE FOR JESUS???  We are all called to make a difference in our family, work-place, community and nation. There are two types of Christians in our city and in RFC!!

1. Winners....those who attack every challenge until they WIN.  2. Losers.....those who shrink and back off from          challenges and temptation etc. Never forget this truth:  IT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENS TO US.......but........IT IS WHAT    HAPPENS IN US.  The greatest personal manifestation is the SPIRIT OF JOY. It is the by-product of living the       Victorious and Overcoming walk with Jesus.

 

We read in [John 15:11] where Jesus said: "These things I have spoken to you that MY JOY may be in you and that your joy may be full."  It’s God's will that you and I live in continuous JOY and HAPPINESS. That is only achievable when we live a FRUITFUL LIFE.  The theme of John chapter 15 is that God wants us all to live fruitful lives and in doing so bring about joy, peace and fun. In [John 15:16] Jesus said: "You did not choose me, I chose you, and appointed you, that you should GO and bear FRUIT, and that your Fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in my Name, He may give it to you."  In brief, what does the Bible call a FRUITFUL LIFE ? It means to be;  active, joyful, having a positive attitude in all we do and all we are.

 

In [Galatians 5:23] is the premier passage of fruitful living:  "The fruit of the spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, SELF CONTROL, against such things there is no law”. So living a fruitful life exhibits positive creative attitudes daily in our Christian walk. [Never boring, sad, dejected, despondent and down hearted.]  In 2007 we are all called to live a POSITIVE LIFE living and walking in the fruits of the Spirit of God on a daily basis and in doing so, we sense a Heavenly JOY and are able to inject positive attitudes into our society and community, and then we will witness constructive results and changes. The following changes will be seen daily in our lives:

 

1. You will learn and desire to have a positive relationship with all people in RFC and also in the out-side world.

2. You will experience positive reactions in those areas of failure especially in previous tough issues and problems which have plagued your life.

3. Daily you will receive positive reinforcements....when you encourage others, they will encourage you. Never forgetting that what you put into a relationship is what you will receive back in return. Never forget - ATTITUDES are             CONTAGIOUS, we catch them by association.

4. Lastly, daily you will have great JOY and constantly be rejoicing at and in the goodness of God. [.....that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be full].

 

Many Christians are often not happy and are living unfulfilled lives and often talk about having little or no JOY in their lives.  JOY provides happiness, fulfilment, and is a by-product of doing what the Word instructs us to do. When we major on this we begin to LOVE and Value GOD'S principles as out-lined in His Word. The product of our Obedience and Faithfulness to God's laws and His word is a LIFE OF SUPER-NATURAL JOY. It is then we are fun to be with and even     non-believer's will be drawn to you. Our potential for JOYFUL Fruitful living is Unlimited because the source of it is GOD. The Apostle Paul said: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." [Phil 4:13].

 

Last day Christians so often look at their daily challenges and difficulties in the light of their own resources and they attempt very little and nearly always fail. But we in 2007 are to rely on God's power and Presence in our lives that will cause us to be fruitful and the JOY we receive will give us the strength to keep going until we Overcome and Conquer all difficulties. Never forgetting that God owns us and He has invested every thing He has into our lives for both now and the future. God is continually PURGING us so that it greatly increases our potential for greater fruitful living. [John 15:2]  "Every branch that bears fruit, He prunes so that it may bear more fruit, and every branch in me that beareth NO FRUIT He taketh away". God removes everything that hinders us from being fruitful. If He doesn't cut back the dead-wood all our resources will go towards producing more Wood and we can't produce FRUIT. God doesn't mess around with us, what needs doing He does it. In [Hebrews 12:1] God is cutting away that SIN which so easily entangles us, so that we can become the person He wants us to be. So our POTENTIAL to be JOYFUL FRUITFUL CHRISTIANS is tremendous all because of our PARTNERSHIP WITH GOD.  Jesus said in [John 15:4] "Abide in me and I in you, as the branch cannot beat fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in me."  In short if you and I stay   connected to Jesus we will live the Over-coming Victorious life. In [John 15:7] we have a great promise: "If you abide in me, and my word's abide in you, ask what ever you wish and it shall be done for you."  In [Psalm 37:4] we read: "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."  DELIGHT always comes before DESIRE. Then the scripture in [John 15:8] is a reality...."By this is my Father glorified that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my     disciples." We were all created by God to be FRUITFUL that is the reason and purpose for living. In [John 15:16] "You did not chose me, I chose you and appointed you" -   Why? - That we should go and bear much fruit. In closing we cannot give to others what we do not have ourselves. God is connected to us daily but are we connected to Him? It’s a life style and it gives God GLORY, PRAISE and HONOR.
