To God be the Glory for all the revelation and empowerment He has given us over the last month. The Spirit of God has been speaking to us about - How committed are we in our walk with Jesus and what is the motivation behind that commitment? There are three main areas we need to major on re our motivation and these are as follows: 1.Daily to God. 2.To our brothers and sisters. 3.Our position in His Glorious Church. All of us must seek God and find our Calling and the position He wants us in so we can work to-gether in unity and Love as we continue in Building His Glorious Church and reach the lost of our City and Nation. "Ask, seek and knock" [Luke 11: 9-10]. Our motivation and commitment can only come from knowing our calling and the position we are to operate in during this great out-pouring and revival.
"I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living Sacrifice, Holy, Acceptable to God, which is your REASONABLE SERVICE. And be NOT CONFORMED to this WORLD, but be ye TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT will of God." [Romans 12:1-2].
Friends, that is the only way we can discover God's will for our walk, our position and where we are to assist daily in the expansion of His Church. Many Christians today in our nation have made a decision to accept Jesus as the author of their Salvation BUT have never made a COMMITMENT TO DAILY LIVE FOR HIM. Never forget there is a vast difference between making a decision to do something and being totally committed to a person. It is far more than just accepting the free gift of salvation that Jesus offers, but the Key is "How committed are we to the person of Jesus Christ??? What is His will and purpose our life??? "The word of God makes it very clear that to make a commitment means; "to turn our lives over and surrender our future to that person's will ". Which implies you make a daily commitment to: 1. Be committed to their plan and future for us. 2. Surrender and yield daily to their cause. 3. Abandoning all our plans, desires etc. 4. Entrusting our life to another. 5. Placing all our skills and abilities at their disposal.
As Christians today we entrust our earthly life and future to Jesus, daily committed to carry out His will and purpose for our lives. It must be done without Hesitation, without Reservation and never doubting or trying to bargain with Him. In 2007 friends, we are either Totally Committed or we are not Committed to Jesus at all. We believe there is no such thing as a Partial Commitment to Jesus. We all confess Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour but we need today to ask ourselves how yielded and submitted are we to Jesus. Being committed to Jesus Christ is deadly serious business. To just be a hearer of God's word and not a doer is very serious. God knows best and has a divine calling on every one of our lives. We believe until you know your calling and position God has for you in His Body of believers you will struggle being committed and yielded to your calling. In times past some Christians have tried to manufacture their will outside of God's. Sadly they are never able to reach the maximum potential God has given them and end up never able to enter into a place of contentment, joy and peace which God has available for them. This is the reason some Christians are not able to receive and enter into a daily life of Victory and walk in the Super-natural of God.
As Christians we do not belong to ourselves anymore, we now belong to God. [1.Cor. 6:19] "What? Know you not that your Body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God and you are NOT YOUR OWN." We all need a revelation of this great truth. So to be committed to Jesus Christ means everything about us and who we are...the total person....our future.....and earthy existence all surrendered to Him. COMMITMENT means: 1. Separation from the world [2.Cor 6:17-18] and also means we are to depart and leave the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life behind us. [1.John 2:15-17] We are no longer of this world, we live in it but are no longer part of it. Jesus has been so great to us, He died for our sins, paid the debt by going to Hell, gave us the free gift of eternal life etc etc yet it is a struggle to obey and serve Him. WHY ??? A lack of MOTIVATION to fulfil God's will and destiny for our lives. Also a lack of gratitude and thanks-giving for all that Jesus did and is doing today. He loves us un-conditionally and expects us to love Him also. "For thou salt worship no other God: for the Lord, whose name is jealous, is a jealous God." [Exodus 34:14].
God has a divine right to expect complete and undivided service and worship from each of us. We cannot remain true to Jehovah God and at the same time live in Babylon. We have all made a commitment to TRUST Jesus as our Saviour and to yield ourselves to live daily in submission to Jesus Christ which means we are all to live daily under the authority of His Lordship. What we are saying in fact is this: "Lord Jesus, you are the supreme head of my life, I daily will acknowledge that and choose to be obedient to you." We need motivation in order to do that and it can only come for a heart of thanksgiving and praise for saving us and providing the super-natural ability to live the Victorious life and do the greater works than Jesus did. So finally, we need to ask ourselves daily? How deep and committed is our love for God? Do we have the mind of Christ? We can only be fully motivated when we know very clearly God's will and direction for our life. It is going to take a life of Prayer, mediation and study of God's word in order to fulfil that Commandment. When you know the mind of Christ you will be surprised how motivated you will become.
Some in RFC are experiencing a DIVINE DISTURBANCE in your life, and this is because God is wanting to get your attention as He has something to say and speak to you about. You cannot imagine how God will bless you and what He can do through you if you will only obey His purpose and will for your lives. It’s not what God can do for me!!! It’s what He will do through me when I make a daily commitment to obey him. It’s then that Miracles and Super-natural activity will follow you and become part of your life. In this hour we are living to experience DIVINE PEACE AND SECURITY so we must be in the Father's will for our life. Amen.
