Well, what an awesome time we all had on Sunday and not forgetting the Monday and Wednesday night meetings.  There is no doubt that God is well on the way in His plan of Restoration in our lives. Friends, when this has been completed we will all be able to operate out of the fullness of the Holy Ghost and signs, wonders and miracles will be part of our every day life. We must have the Holy Ghost in full measure if we are to fulfil the commission and go into the world and reach the lost and dying, fulfilling Jesus' command when He said, "you and I will do greater miracles etc then He did during His earthly life". Think about that brothers and sisters, what an      honour and joy it will be to live in the Super-natural daily and see people get totally restored, not just spiritually but also in the     natural. After all Jesus defeated Satan, sickness and disease at Calvary and took back all that Adam had given the devil in the Garden of Eden.  Jesus said "All power in heaven and the earth has been given to me” and we are to go ye into all the world and enforce the devil’s defeat by using the Name of Jesus and the Precious power that is in the Blood of Jesus.  Never forget, the Bible tells us that we win and will reign with Jesus for all eternity, Glory to God.

 

Pastor Kevin ministered during the week that God is wanting each and every one of us not only to be full of the Holy Ghost and Power but to minister out of our OVER-FLOW....How can that happen.....by being totally committed to the LAW OF LOVE. The Bible tells us that every believer has right standing with God. 1 Peter 3:12 tells us "The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous (those who are    upright and in right standing with God) and His ears are attentive to their prayers. But the face of the Lord is against those who    practice EVIL, to oppose them, to frustrate and defeat them." The word EVIL means: 1. of a bad nature. 2. not such as it ought to be.  3. a mode of thinking.  4. feeling and acting out what is wrong and wicked.

 

MENTAL STRONGHOLDS - These not only allow access for demonic torment and torture, they also affect every believer’s right standing with God. They protect wrong attitudes, thoughts and feelings and hinder us from being Free to obey and be led by the Spirit of God. We are all to have the SPIRIT OF JESUS in our minds. There is no middle ground, we either:  1. Have right standing with God, Or 2. We don't.  We read in the book of James 5:16. "The earnest prayer of a righteous man is the one that availed much."   Many in the Body of Christ do not believe that God would oppose or defeat them because of mental strongholds in their life. His mercy has spared many Christians who have such disbelief and disobedience.

 

STRONGHOLDS in our minds are always reinforced when a believer chooses to ignore God's Word to pull them down and destroy them. Its is a vicious cycle that only benefits satan our enemy. Often Christians refuse to admit that there is anything wrong...they deny their reality and existence. RECONCILIATION AND RESTORATION have been promised to us all.  God has committed unto us the MINISTRY and the word of reconciliation [2 Corinthians 5.18-19]. Part of this occurs as we are transformed by the renewing (renovation) of our mind [Romans 12.2]. The word RENEW means: 1. Restore 2. Rebuild 3. Re-establish and 4. Renovate. All this has to been carried out before RESTORATION can even begin. All those grubby, stinking, horrible things in our mind, will and emotions have to be torn down, stripped away, broken up and removed in order to make room before RESTORATION and RENEWAL can even commence. We have been instructed in [Acts 3:19-20] to repent, change our mind and purpose, turn around and return back to God,  that all our sins can be erased, so that the TIMES of REFRESHING - RECOVERY- REVIVING may come from the anointed presence of God in our life.  Thank God, we can all receive and can be set free com from all the effects of our previous life experiences. As we all make room in our Souls to receive Renewal and Restoration we can carry out God's will and build His church before the return of JESUS.

 

RESTORATION is promised all throughout the Bible, eg [Malachi 4:5-6], [Jeremiah 31:33], [Joel 2:25-26] and in [Romans 12:2]. God has always wanted and is always willing to restore every man and woman to HIMSELF. That is why He sent Jesus to die on the Cross to bring about a blood-brought way for all of mankind to come fully into that RESTORATION. Jesus is being retained in Heaven until this has been fully accomplished. HOW do we receive RESTORATION and RENEWAL. Far to many are to busy trying to defend themselves against the enemy....they don't have time to walk in the Spirit and do what Jesus did on the earth let alone the greater things. Firstly we must all conquer our own emotions, feelings and fears before we can conquer our own city and Nation. All these strongholds in our mind cause you and I to not have the freedom or desire to do God's will in our daily lives. The powers of Hell and darkness can only sustain their program against you when NOT RESISTED. Even today in the Fellowship we still have the Walking Wounded.

 

We all must seek God to open up the deep hidden things of our past that are in our heart, so that He can revive us, forgive us and heal us. We all must stop and get out of the practice of DENIAL...DENIAL...DENIAL and take full responsibility and ownership of all our past faults and failings. We all must go direct to God, not a pastor, or a spiritual man or woman but go direct to God.  SPIRITUAL FREEDOM can only manifest itself when we are EMOTIONALLY FREE.  It is only then that we can receive the total freedom, healing etc from God alone. You can seek advice, help etc but only God can set you free. He wants to strip off your old nature and tear down the strongholds that you have erected as they have power over us. Some so these areas are: Wrong attitudes and patterns of thinking and also patterns of belief.

 

In closing a few of the most common strongholds that need to be addressed are:

1] Suspicion, to resist intimacy with God. 2] Doubt-normally works with suspicion often work to-gather - the existence is often totally denied. 3] Independence which is always  caused by REJECTION, both have the ability to hinder the work of the Holy Spirit. 3] False security caused by un-met needs in our life, internally we are fragile, and all in need of acceptance. 4] Confusion, always leads to      discouragement and depression.  5] Un-forgiveness, when abused and deeply hurt this causes bitterness and anger often justifying the role of being a victim. 6] Distrust, caused by betrayal this stronghold prevents anyone else getting close for the fear of being         betrayed again. Sadly this often carries over into their relationship with God and His word - whose perfect love casts out all fear.          7] Control and manipulation, often caused by a childhood filled with chaos and instability so a stronghold is built to prevent it from occurring again later in life. 8] Self-indulgence, always trying to compensate for un-meet needs and pain, often turning to drugs and alcohol to blot out the pain. 9] Fear, common in the life of Christians and those who have tried to follow Jesus. This stronghold is erected around great apprehension and anxiety over unresolved issues and memories. 10] DENIAL, the stronghold of Denial refuses to acknowledge any of the above issues mentioned. It is a valid temporary mental and emotional attitude trying to cope with past pain, hurt and traumatic situations. So often the individual does not have the freedom to face it.

 

Only God can help us and set us free but He can only start the journey and process when we choose to TOTALLY SURRENDER OUR LIFE TO HIM. So often what you have learnt to believe about yourself can be more powerful in shaping your life than the truth of God's will. So today we all need the help of the Holy Spirit and the FIRE of GOD in sorting through our beliefs in order to make room for GOD'S TRUTH. We all must allow God full reign in our life and allow RENEWAL and RESTORATION to take place so we can walk in  the FULLNESS of GOD'S GLORY AND GRACE.
