Well, another week closer to the Marriage Feast and the return of Jesus. What an exciting time with world events, even in our own nation - who would of thought we would ever read about such up-rising and disunity. The Bible warned us all that this would be the case before the return of Jesus for His Glorious Church.

 

Pastor Kevin has been sharing this week on being a friend of Jesus and belonging to the Family of God. What we all must come to an understanding of is this truth: The WORLD is not our Home, therefore what is our purpose on this earth? Our early life is just a    temporary assignment so we need to ask ourselves - are we in the Will of God and are we fulfilling God's purpose and plan for our    existence!!!!  "The Lord has made all things for himself........." [Prov.16:4] The ultimate goal of the universe is to show forth the Glory of God. That's the reason everything exists including you and I. God made all things for His Glory. It’s the very essence of His nature, His importance, His splendour, His power and the atmosphere of His Presence.  What is God's Glory?? It’s His goodness and all the other intrinsic, eternal qualities.

 

Where can God's Glory be found? 1. In His Creation.  2. In our life.  All of creation reveals God's Glory! The stars, the sun and the moon, the seasons, the rain, snow etc. In [Psalm 19:1.] "The Heaven's declare the Glory of God." In Heaven God's Glory provides all the light that is required, there are no shadows or darkness. [Rev 21:23]. When we study and read about the life of Jesus Christ - He is the light of the World, He illuminates all of the Father's nature. "The Son is the radiance of God's Glory." [Hebrews 1.3 and 2        Corinthians 4:6].  "His Glory full of Grace and Truth." [John 1:14] His Glory is His very nature. We cannot add anything to his glory just as it is impossible to make the sun shine brighter. When we read the New Testament we as Believers and Children of God have been       commanded to: 1. Recognize His Glory. 2. Honour His Glory. 3. Declare His Glory. 4. Praise His Glory. 5. Reflect His Glory and. 6. Live daily to seek His Glory. You make ask WHY? It’s because God deserves it. We owe God every honour we can possibly give Him. Because God made all things including each and every one of us, He deserves all the GLORY. In [Rev 4:11] we read "You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive Glory and Honour and Power for you created every thing."

 

In the entire Universe today only two of God's creation fail to bring Glory to Him. [1] people - males and females. [2] satan, his fallen angels and demons. All Sin, at its very root is failing to give God Glory, praise and Honour. If we love anything else more than God and refuse to bring Glory to God this is: Prideful rebellion, and its the same sin that caused Satan's fall and mankind's also. In times past we have all lived for our own Glory not God's. In [Romans 3:23] we read: "All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God." I     believe none of us have yet given God the full glory He deserves from our lives. Sadly this is the worst sin and the biggest mistake man can ever make.  Yet, on the other hand, living for God's Glory is the greatest achievement we can ever accomplish while here on the earth. In [Isaiah 43:7] we read: They are my own people and I created them to bring me Glory. For the rest of 2007 I believe that should be the ultimate supreme Goal in our Life.

 

How can I bring Glory to God daily in my life?  Jesus said in [John 17;4] "I brought Glory to you here on earth by doing everything you told me to do." Jesus honoured His Father by fulfilling His purpose while here on the earth. You and I can honour God by doing the same. When everything in God's creation fulfils His purpose it brings Glory to God, eg. birds bring Glory to God by flying, chirping, nesting and all the other activities that God intended for their life.  God has five purposes for our Life:

1] We bring God glory when we worship Him. Worship is our fist responsibility to God. We worship God by enjoying His presence. He wants our worship to be motivated by Love, Thanksgiving and Joy and never out of Duty. I believe that God is most Glorified in us when you and I are most satisfied in Him. Worship is more than praising, singing and praying to God, it is a LIFE-STYLE of enjoying God, loving God, and daily surrendering ourselves to be used for His purposes. When we give our life for God's Glory everything we do becomes an act of Worship.

2] We bring God Glory by loving other believers. As believers we became members of God's Family and as we belong to His Family we must all learn to Love the Family of God. "Our Love for each other proves that we have gone from Death to Life." [1 John 3:14] We must love as God loves. Why? Because God is Love and it Honour's Him. In [John 13: 34-35] "As I have loved you, so you must love one another, and by this all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another."

 

3] We bring God Glory when we become and live like Jesus. In 2007 God wants each and every one of us to grow up Spiritually and   become mature, not baby Christians. Being Spiritually Mature is becoming like Jesus in the way a] we think. b] we love and c] act. The more we develop the character of Jesus in our daily walk the more we bring Glory to God. Read [2 Corinthians 3:18]. We can do it   because when we accepted Jesus He gave us a New Life and Nature. God daily wants to continue changing our character daily. Are you allowing Him to do it.

4] We bring God glory in the way we serve others with our spiritual gifting etc.  We all have unique talents, gifts skills and activities designed by God. These are never for selfish purposes. They were given to benefit others, just as others were given abilities to help and benefit us. When we do this we give God glory and Honour.

5] We bring God glory by telling others about Jesus. He doesn't want His Love kept a secret from mankind. It‘s our greatest honour and privilege to introduce others to Jesus and to help them discover their purpose in Life, helping also to find God's will and destiny for their life. Also to prepare them as the BRIDE OF CHRIST and their eternal destiny. So the more we bring to Jesus the more Glory we Give Him.

 

Finally what changes do we have to make in order to walk and live in more of God's Glory.  It’s going to require: daily priority changes and changes daily to our schedules. Our relationship with other people, sinners and saints alike. Aim to give God Glory and praise with all we do and say. In closing we are either 1] Living for our own goals, comforts and pleasure. 2] planning to live the rest of our life for God's Glory, knowing that He has promised eternal rewards. 3] In 2007 are you going to live for God or live for yourself. If you decide to live for God, He will give you all the strength and provide what you need to do His will. We were not an accident, were created for an eternal purpose. Let’s make a decision today - ITS ALL FOR JESUS.
