Glory to God. What an exciting time to be alive and witness this fantastic last day Out-Pouring of the Super-natural anointed Fire of God's power. Daily we hear reports of the incredible things that God is doing in the nations and we have no doubt that we also in Wellington are going to be part of this Out-pouring also.  Special thanks for all the texts, gifts and those who were able to join us on Tuesday night at the Fisherman's table to celebrate Pastor Kevin’s birthday. 

 

At Monday and Wednesday meetings Pastor Kevin was sharing on ‘Being a Friend of Jesus’ and Staying in Love and       developing a lasting, valuable, caring relationship with the church family. In today’s world people often have the wrong idea of what friendship is; friendship is not so much for what we can receive from our friends, but rather where we can help and assist our friend on the journey of life. The following are some of the points that were shared at the meetings:

1. A Friend is a person whom one enjoys mutual affection and has regard for.

2. It usually is exclusive of sexual or family bonds. A friend is a helper, sympathizer and supports on a regular basis, a regular contributor and never an enemy.

3. The main characteristic of a friend is they show kindness, offer help, well disposed and always motivated by kindness.

4. The main aim of friendship is for friendly enjoyment and never any competition even when involved in sport etc.

5. A friend, made up of both sexes, is for the purpose of support, help and assistance in time of need or crisis. It is a long term commitment, no one has a hidden agenda.

6. True genuine friends are committed to help and assist their friends and have no hidden agenda out of self-interest. They are also committed for the long haul and never a short term arrangement. All parties are committed to help and assist whenever required and needed and often receive little or no gain from the help one gives. In short one never looks for any return or what benefit will I get etc.

 

All friendships, including our daily walk with Jesus must come from our Spiritual mind, never our carnal mind and thinking. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons and daughter's of God." [Romans 8:6]. At all times we must be open to what the Holy Spirit is saying so that the Fruit of the Spirit of God that is in us can be available to bless other people.  [Gal 5:22-23] 'The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance..."

We must never forget that Satan is always also a spirit and he uses natural carnal, selfish men and woman to rob, cheat, destroy and kill. The fruit of satan's spirit is "works of the flesh". {Gal 5;19-21}  "Now the works of the flesh are      manifest, which are these, adultery, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, revelling and such like......." and down in {Gal 5: 24-26}  "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit let us also walk in the spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another" In Galatians 6:7-8 we read: Be not deceived; God is not mocked, for what so ever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap LIFE EVER-LASTING.

 

No satanic attack can defeat a child of God full of the Holy Spirit. In Luke 10:19 we read: "Behold, I give unto you Power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over ALL the POWER of the Enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." We are encouraged in Ephesians 6:10 "Finally, my brethren, be Strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might".

 

Daily we all need to seek God for the following: 1. Wisdom 2. Guidance.  3. Protection.  4. God's ability and stamina to keep fighting the fight of Faith. We have a great promise in {John 14:26}  "But the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall TEACH you ALL things, and bring all things to your remembrance, what ever I have said to you."  When you and I are anointed by the Holy Ghost we are IMMUNIZED against all the attacks of the enemy. Its then we can stand against all the WILES of the enemy. The enemy is always trying to Trick and plot against us. In 1.Peter 5:8 we read "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom He may devour."  All Spiritual beings are either anointed with the Holy Spirit of Love or full of satanic activity [Flesh].

 

Finally, The Prince of this world, satan has no claim on us, nothing in us belongs to him, he has no power or ability to understand the Holy Spirit and our prayer language and cannot hinder our prayer life. God is always faithful to you and I and we must be faithful to Him also.  “So shall MY WORD be that goeth forth out of my mouth, it shall not return to me void, but shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”. [Isaiah 55:11].  I pray the above will keep us daily in Love and friendship with Jesus and to that measure we are able to Love ourselves and our brothers and sisters.

 

Monday and Wednesday night meetings at 7.30pm 5. Lerwick Terrace, Lyall Bay and RFC City Out-reach departs also from the same address at Midday on Saturday. These are exciting RFC activates to prepare us for the CITY wide Revival that has already started.
